LINDA MANSON - PARTNER Linda Manson specialises in all aspects of personal taxation at E A Kench & Co: completion of tax returns, calculation of tax liabilities, advice on tax planning and tax saving opportunities. It is a growing area within the firm which she has been nurturing and developing over the years, and one which is bringing in an increasing number of new clients, especially since Self Assessment came into effect. Linda studied Art and Mathematics at A-Level in Oxford, and Art and Graphic Design at Canterbury. The beauty and form of numbers was, however, ultimately, more appealing, and she returned to Oxford in 1982, where, shortly afterwards, she started to specialise in tax. E A Kench & Co, who originally used her services in 1990 on a consultancy basis, found her so indispensable that within six months it persuaded her to join the team. In April 2001, Linda was made a partner in the practice. Like Managing Partner Eric Kench, Linda has an interest in flying, and has her Pilot’s Licence for flying gliders. She is also a very keen archer and says that archery is the perfect antidote for stress as she imagines the targets to be wearing little Tax hats! She keeps up her interest in art by doing intricate illustration, and designs the firm's Christmas card each year.
