RICHARD EVANS - DIRECTOR Richard Evans trained as a Chartered Accountant with Neville Russell (now Mazars) in London and joined E A Kench & Co in 1984, qualifying a year later. Specialising in Audit, Corporation Tax and Lloyds Underwriting, he became a Partner in 1988 and continues to enjoy putting to good use in Henley the practice and experience gained from a London training. The hallmarks of professionalism are very important to Richard, and he considers that Kench & Co Ltd display these amply. Coping with pressure, meeting deadlines and getting the job right come very high up his list, and the interaction in a small practice with local people running small businesses, helping them to steer a straight financial course, is what really motivates Richard. Hailing from South Wales, with a brief sojourn in Rome, it may not be surprising that Richard was eventually drawn towards amateur dramatics. Acting outside the office, as well as acting for clients, provides an effective and necessary counterbalance to his professional duties. The thrill of capturing the imagination and sympathy of an audience is part of what keeps Richard returning to the stage, and he brings to his dramatic creations the same qualities that he offers his clients: a personal touch with meticulous attention to detail.
